The Small Businessperson of the Year is chosen based on several criteria:
-demonstrated a history of managing or operating and established business of less than 100 employees and have shown growth in the number of employees
-shown continued sales growth over the years
-have used creative approaches to business
-contributes to the community
According to the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce, this year there were a record number of nominees for this award making the process of selection very tough.
