The New Long Branch Trail...

Urban centers are becoming more and more popular and the cities that are growing are using innovative and creative ways to offer different amenities.  Recently, a good example of this is in Winston-Salem when the Long Branch Trail opened for use.

The new trail is a partnership between the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter, the City of Winston-Salem, the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Rail Division.

This new "urban greenway" runs north to south and will allow downtown residents, workers, and anyone else who wishes to to walk, run, bike or simply enjoy the nice weather in a downtown setting.  Eventually it will connect to the Salem Lake Trail and provide for approximately 20 miles of trail for the public use.

The short clips gives you an idea of how the urban greenway looks and feels.  What do you think?  Would you use this trail?
